I am certified in personal training by the National Academy Of Sports Medicine. Ive held this certification for 8 years. In order to rectify this education it requires us to do a minimum amount of continuing education every year. To rectify we must submit our certificates from other education we complete, which ensures I am always learning and adding to my tool belt of skills to help my clients.
I studied personal training from the British Columbia Personal Training Institute. Instructed by the legendary Chad Benson. This program included a practicum to learn hands on experience in addition to a job at Steve Nash Fitness Clubs to gain experience.
I certified as a fitness nutritionist 8 years ago through DOTfit and 5 years ago I upgraded this certification by doing schooling at Precision Nutrition. This additional education has helped me provide my clients the most top tier approach, backed by the most recent science.
I did the TRX suspension course, certifying me to teach TRX classes, in addition to incorporating TRX in workout programs and stretching plans.
Certified as an AGATSU kettlebell instructor, during this course I learned how to use kettlebells to increase strength and flexibility.
Spin is one of my absolute fave workouts. After spinning 5 days a week for multiple years, I decided to certify during the pandemic as a group fitness instructor, specifically as a spin instructor. Since then I have taught hundreds of classes with a special talent for tailoring playlists to each client and being able to use music to influence movement.
Certified as a boxing instructor through fitness kickboxing Canada, my specialty is Muay Thai.
Certified in Hyperice mobility and assessment program to help assess client instabilities and injuries and use the results to customize mobility programs, and narrow down the perfect workouts for your body in relation to your instabilities and limitations.
Certified as a behavioural change specialist and life coach. With this certification I can help you identify why you make certain decisions and why you have built certain bad habits. I can help adapt your mindset using different modalities and methods to help us achieve your goals with a more realistic and attainable approach.
Enrolled in the NASM mental toughness program to increase my knowledge on how to help build plans to re program the way we approach exercise and nutrition.
Educated in the functional training method, circuit training and functional programming practices.
Educated in corrective exercise for post rehab injuries as well as working along side your practitioner (physio, Chiro, registered massage therapist) with a collaborative program to help decrease pain, increase mobility and flexibility.
I studied and certified in weight loss specialization. I am able to work with those with BMI over 40+, educated in working with plus sized clients and those who are overweight and want to lose weight and may have restrictions on mobility or cardio.
Up to date on CPR & AED certification and first aid.
Educated in sports performance, and work well with all athletes. My specialties are: Lacrosse, Basketball, Soccer, and Track.
